- Mark your calendars! The Johns Hopkins 22nd Annual Monte Carlo Charity Event will be Saturday February 20, 2010. As you may know, Monte Carlo is the School of Medicine's annual casino-themed social event to benefit a local charity serving the Baltimore community. This year, proceeds will go to the House of Ruth and Adelante Familia, two outstanding organizations serving women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Contact your MSS representatives about purchasing tickets!
- Armstrong Medical Education Building
- C. Michael Armstrong will lead the committee tasked to find art to decorate the building.
- Students interested in creating or donating a serious piece of artwork are urged to contact Mark to find out how to participate.
- Specific areas devote to each of the four colleges have space conducive to collegeg activities, including a fridge/kitchen area, student lockers, office area, and printing capabilities.
- A reading room on the fourth floor offers a quiet environment to study and sit.
- Results of the Grading Policy Committee Survey are in!
- For Basic Science grading, Pass/Fail was the top choice of 150 of the 260 respondents (57.7%). The second-place vote-getter for top choice was H/HP/P/F, which was the top choice of 24.2%.
- Criterion-based grading was favored by 67.7% of students, while norm-based grading was favored by 32.3%.
